Who we are
SenzaSpreco is a project of the Association “Le Mele di Newton” that aims to reduce the food waste.
“Le Mele di Newton” was born in 2010 and works in the domain of creative scientific divulgation and environmental sustainability.
Marta Zanieri
Raised in the countryside around Florence. Graduated in Physic. Within the Cooperative Company “Le Mele di Newton”, she is responsible for project managing, educational workshops and coordination of the SenzaSpreco project. She is studying innovative methodologies to involve and commit adults and children towards sciences and environment. She is deeply convinced that a citizen with consciousness is a treasure for the whole society.
Matilde Marchetta
Born in Florence. Graduated in Biological Sciences, she was a Physio-pathology Researcher. Now she is a consultant of Iso9901 and FSC. Within the Cooperative Company “Le Mele di Newton”, she is responsible for financial planning and internal management. She thinks that world can be changed with the daily work, starting from the very little things.
Giulia Lombardo
Born and raised in Florence. She studied Sociology at Florence and Milan Universities with graduated thesis about food waste inside the school-catering chain. Within the Cooperative Company “Le Mele di Newton”, she is responsible for the commercial sector, looking for new synergies and new projects’ ideas. She believes that a different attitude towards food could also mean a better understanding of the right value of the labour, of the resources and of the environment.
Leonardo Lori
Born in Terni and raised in Florence. Graduated in Specialized Physic, in ongoing training as high school teacher. Within the Cooperative Company “Le Mele di Newton” he is in charge of training, education and scientific divulgation. He is involved in creative experiment of new methods and strategies to arise children and adults interest, in and out of schools, towards scientific topics.
Alessandro Lanzetta
Born and raised in Florence, he has worked in international cooperation and humanitarian projects in Africa and Latin America. Graduated in Economic Development at the Sorbona University (Paris), he contributed at the launch of the SenzaSpreco project. Specialized in strategic coordination and financial management, he is convinced that good ideas and passion of small groups make great impact on the people’s life quality.
Jacopo Visani
Born and raised in Florence. Graduated in Philosophy, Ph.D. Candidate in Environmental ethics. Within the Cooperative Company “Le Mele di Newton”, he is in charge of communication, education and management of the SenzaSpreco platform. He carries out numerous other projects trying to make the world a better place for everyone.
